Acceptance of applications for the competition UMNIK-Sirius

The Innovation Promotion Foundation is opening the acceptance of applications for the UMNIK-Sirius competition .

Since 2017, the Innovation Promotion Foundation and the Talent and Success Foundation have been holding an annual joint competition "UMNIK-Sirius" within the framework of the Innovation Promotion Foundation's program "Participant of the Youth Scientific and Innovative Competition" ("UMNIK").

The purpose of the competition is to promote the development and implementation of innovative projects, the authors of which are the recipients of grants from the President of the Russian Federation (grantees who have shown outstanding abilities and are enrolled in full-time educational institutions of higher education in undergraduate and specialist programs at the expense of budgetary allocations from the federal budget, the budgets of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Federation and local budgets (approved under the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of  19.12.2015 No. 1381)).

Financing of the winning project is 500 thousand rubles.

Individuals from 18 to 30 years old from among the recipients of grants from the President of the Russian Federation who have not previously won in the Fund's programs can take part in the competition.

Evaluation criteria for the final selection:

  • science-intensiveness of the idea and high-tech product;
  • project implementation prospects;
  • qualifications of the applicant.

Acceptance of applications until July 10, 2021

The final selection for the UMNIK-Sirius competition is planned to be held on July 27, 2021 in the Sirius educational center (Krasnodar Territory).
