Baltika will invest 270 million rubles in its Rostov brewery

Baltika intends to invest an additional 270 million rubles in its plant in Rostov. The corresponding agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by the president of the company Denis Sherstennikov and the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev.

The funds will be used to modernize the bottling line, which will expand the range of beer varieties produced at the plant and reduce logistics costs, as well as to replace the 7.5 MW gas turbine unit.

The generated energy will be able to fully cover the needs of the plant, and its surplus will be supplied to the city grid, the Agency for Investment Development of the Rostov Region reported.

Let us remind you that the Yuzhnaya Zarya brewery was founded in 1974. In 1997, it was bought out by Baltika.

Now the capacity of the enterprise is 5.6 million hectoliters of beer. It has four production lines, including one for filling in aluminum cans, one for filling in  PET packaging and two for filling in glass containers.
