Activities to obtain a construction facility certificate of compliance with project design documentation and commissioning the Stadium have been started. At their final meeting on December 20, Rostov Arena Stadium team discussed getting the facility ready for commissioning.
Governor Vasily Golubev, First Deputy of Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation Leonid Stavitsky and Deputy of Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Pavel Novikov took part in the meeting
‘Today we can state that construction of Rostov Arena Stadium has been completed, and facility commissioning activities have been started,’ Vasily Golubev said.
The Governor stressed that a regional component of the project implementation has been fulfilled: the stadium is provided with utilities and transport infrastructure. Currently, landscaping works at the territory near-by the Stadium are being finished. According to the Governor, vegetation is to be planted by early spring.
‘It is one of the most complex and responsible stages. Issues on executing documentation are to be thoroughly worked out to present the Stadium for review of Rostekhnadzhor (Federal Service for Environmental Technological and Nuclear Supervision) prior to start its complex examination,’ Leonid Stavitsky specified the task.
Alexander Trembitsky, Deputy Director of Rostekhnadzhor of the Russian Federation, confirmed their readiness to start review activities at the facility.
‘High degree of construction works completeness should be specially noted. As for level of responsibility of Rostekhnadzhor, as soon as we are informed construction activities are completed, we will call up a committee including our colleagues from Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare) and Gospozhnadzor (Fire Safety Inspection Service). We always work together on such important events and facilities for the Russian Federation and, when the facility is commissioned, our colleagues from Ministry of Emergency Situations and Rospotrebnadzor will monitor the operation of the Stadium,’ Alexander Trembitsky specified.
‘Construction works are in deed finished. Start up and commissioning activities begin, and, I hope, those will be completed in the nearest future. We are grateful to all the project participants, and, I believe, General Contractor has done a big job – they have built a good stadium. I am sure both the city and the country will be proud of this Stadium,’ Pavel Novikov, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, assessed what he had seen.
