Dialogue with Business Continues

A traditional meeting with entrepreneurs of Don Capital took place under chairmanship of Dmitry Chernyshov, the Deputy Head of Rostov-on-Don Administration for Economic Affairs, at site of Center-Invest CB PJSC.

The event was held within the framework of the international ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ action, which unites 150 countries of the world.

— Our city is distinguished by an increased level of entrepreneurial activity. Among the cities with a population of one million, we occupy the 1st place in terms of individual entrepreneurs’ number per thousand inhabitants, — Dmitry Chernyshov said opening the meeting.

Small and medium business of Rostov is more than 66 thousand of small and medium-sized business entities, on which more than half of the working population is officially employed. Growth in most economic indicators is maintained largely due to efforts of business representatives in Rostov-on-Don.

The enterprises of this sector make a significant contribution to the economy. Thus, according to estimates the share of small business in the total turnover of enterprises and organizations is about 25 percent. Also, it is more than half of retail turnover, and more than 40 percent in wholesale trade turnover. Share of small and micro-sized enterprises is 15% of the total volume of investments in fixed assets.

Vasily Vysokov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Center-Invest CB PJSC, and Herman Krasheninnikov, the lead expert, trainer and business consultant of the Southern Federal District, had delivered speeches at the meeting. Vasily Vysokov told about Small Business-2018: Globalization, Socialization, Legitimization, and Digitalization. Herman Krasheninnikov, in turn, shared his thoughts on prospects for the digital economy and new financial technologies.

Meeting attendee were also able to ask questions and discuss offers. Business community representatives have been worried about topics relevant to the southern capital.
