The company Donobuv, which is located in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Rostov, is known far beyond the borders of our city. It is among the main suppliers of specialized footwear for law enforcement agencies of our country. On Friday, June 21, Svetlana Kambulova, Deputy Head of the Administration of Rostov for Economics, visited the factory with a working visit, inspected the shops and talked to the workers.
The closed joint-stock company includes production sites in Rostov, Taganrog and Salsk. There are several shops in Rostov: cutting, billet, protracted, casting and finishing. Passing through them, you can see how shoes are “born” from pieces of leather (bought at Russian leather factories) and rubber: how the patterns are made, pulling on the shoe, the sole is poured by vulcanization, give it a presentation.
Donobuv produces footwear for military, gas and oil workers. The products of the Rostov factory are purchased by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Federal Border Service, the Federal Security Service, Rosatom, etc. The factory is the only supplier of boots for a company of the guard of honor of the Federal Security Service.
Up to 29 thousand pairs of shoes are produced per month at the Rostov production site. Employees of the company receive decent wages.
Svetlana Kambulova noted the availability of modern equipment in the shops and the active participation of Donobuv in the program for the employment of schoolchildren during the summer holidays. Now one teenager works at the factory (he comes here to work for the second year in a row). In the near future several more schoolchildren will be employed.
In addition to the salary that teens pay the company, they receive material support for participating in temporary jobs from the Employment Service.
“Donobuv CJSC makes a great contribution to the social and economic development of Rostov and is the leading shoe company in the South of Russia,” said the deputy head of the city administration for economics and wished the factory management and staff not to dwell on the results achieved and receive more orders.
We add that during her working visit to Donobuv, Svetlana Kambulova held a meeting with the plant’s staff and answered questions from workers who dealt with various spheres of city life.
