DSTU Student Developed a Safe Method of Graphene Derivatives Synthesis

The student of the Don State Technical University (DSTU) of Rostov region, Tatyana Statsenko, is developing a new method for synthesis of hybrid materials based on graphene derivatives for the production of improved sensors used in various industrial fields.

A new technology will allow making synthesis of hybrid materials based on graphene derivatives with a safe method. There is a probability that a significant reduction of power consumption and economical expenses will be reached.

Tatyana’s innovation can become a starting point for a new generation of biosensorics devices. The practical application of the technology will be in creation of devices for determination of organic compound concentration. For example, in industrial and agricultural wastes.

“Thanks to the project Tatyana Statsenko was included to the number of winners of “UMNIK” program by Innovation Promotion Fund in category “Modern materials and technologies of their creation”. The student of the University will receive a grant in the amount of 500 thousand rubles for the performance of scientific and research works”, confirmed DSTU information service.
