The City Administration plans to purchase 25 low-floor gas-powered buses in 2017 and 25 buses in the first quarter of 2018 by the FIFA World Cup 2018.

The journalists were able to appreciate the advantages of the new bus during the traditional Saturday bypass of the head of the Rostov-on-Don City Administration Vitaly Kushnaryov.

An important feature of the low-floor bus is the possibility of tilting the body towards the doors. In the cabin, there is the air conditioning system so that passengers can feel comfortable in the summer. This transport is also equipped with an automatic fire-fighting system and an information system. All this will make it possible to provide comfortable travel to absolutely all categories of citizens.

“The City Administration gives preference to environmentally friendly transport, which is especially important in the framework of the Year of Ecology,” said Vitaly Kushnaryov. “We try to do our best to make passengers comfortable using public transport.

Gas is used as fuel in the new low-floor bus. This will allow less pollution to the environment. Moreover, the operation of such buses will cost twice as little.

“The compressed gas used as a fuel does not explode in the event of an accident, which is very safe,” explained Sergey Afanasyev, the Deputy General Director for Sales and Service of PJSC KAMAZ.

The Mayor also said that the purchase of new passenger transport will be made on a competitive basis.
