The electric locomotive repair plant in Rostov-on-Don celebrates its 145th anniversary.

One of the largest enterprises - the Rostov-on-Don Electric Locomotive Repair Plant (part of the Lokotekh group of companies) is one of the oldest in the railway industry. On Friday, June 21, Svetlana Kambulova, Deputy Head of the City Administration for Economics, visited the company on a working visit and talked to RARIL Mustafin, the Chief Engineer of the Russian Economic Area.

“Quality and responsible work - the success of the plant!” - this is the motto of RESP. 145 years ago, in 1874, it was located on an area of ​​32 thousand square meters, the number of employees was about 300 people.

In the year of repair, no more than 15 locomotives were produced. And today, more than 2.1 thousand employees work in an area of ​​over 100 thousand square meters, and the number of rolling stock sections that are issued from repairs is more than 500 units annually.

- REZ takes the third place in terms of repairs in the industry. This is a modern complex, equipped with new equipment, a stable working enterprise that makes a worthy contribution to the economy of our city, ”said Svetlana Kambulova.
