On December 19, 2018, at 02:00 PM, the final competition-conference of the UMNIK Program of the Innovation Promotion Fund, where young Don innovators will present their developments, will take place in Rostov-on-Don.
The event will be supported by the Government of the Rostov Region. It main goal is to reveal young scientists striving to realize their potential by means of innovative activities, promote the large-scale involvement of young people in scientific, technical and innovative activities.
The UMNIK Program provides for funds for the development of scientific and technical ideas equal to 500 thousand roubles for the period of two years.
The Program participants are individuals at the age from 18 to 30 (students, post-graduates, young researchers).
The final will be held in several areas: digital technologies, medicine and health care technologies, new materials and chemical technologies, new devices and intelligent manufacturing technologies, resource-saving energy production.
This year, 134 innovators from the Rostov Region took part in the semi-final shortlisting of innovative projects. The winners of the semi-finals underwent a mandatory procedure of anonymized expertise in other regions. Within its framework, candidates and doctors of Sciences in the relevant disciplines evaluated additionally the scientific novelty of each project.
62 authors of the projects – young scientists from eight educational institutions – will take part in the final.
The final will be held at the address: Rostov-on-Don, 69, Bolshaya Sadovaya St., Rostov State University of Economics (RSUE).
