Volgograd company “Chistiy Gorod” is planning to start the construction of a waste sorting complex in Rostov. The company's investments in this project will amount to 2 billion rubles. The throughput performance will be 800 thousand tons of waste per year. The complex will become an integral part of the regional eco-technology park for waste treatment, which will provide services for Rostov-on-Don and the Miasnikovskiy District.
It will comprise a solid municipal waste landfill and will provide for the implementation of the bio-composting technologies that will allow the use of compost as a biofuel.
On the second stage, it is planned to open the complex for processing of widely used plastics as well. Project implementation will allow reducing the share of waste burial at the landfill to 30-40% and the remaining 60-70% will be disposed, - report the director of the Group of companies “Chistiy Gorod”, Polina Vergun.
