The joint delegation of representatives of FIFA and the Organizing Committee ‘Russia-2018’ will hold the second stage of the final seventh operational visit to prepare the stadiums of the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Within the framework of the event, from 1 to 3 of March the delegation will visit the stadiums ‘Fisht’ in Sochi, ‘Rostov-Arena’ in Rostov-on-Don, and ‘Kazan-Arena’ in the capital of Tatarstan. Within the first stage, in the period from January 30 to February 1, experts inspected the St. Petersburg Stadium, the Luzhniki Stadium and the Spartak Stadium in Moscow.
- The visit to Rostov-on-Don will take place on March 2. The joint group includes experts in the design of stadiums, preparation and conduct of competitions, security, transport, logistics, hospitality services, television broadcasting, media support, staff work, marketing and ticket program implementation, said Igor Guskov, the First Deputy Governor of the Rostov region. – The main purpose of the visit is to discuss the operational activities of the stadiums during the World Cup 2018.
Alexei Sorokin, the General Director of the Organizing Committee ‘Russia-2018’, and Colin Smith, the Director of the FIFA Department for the conduct of the competitions will lead the delegation.
