The first meeting of the Council for Investments this year was held on Tuesday, March 21, at the congress hall of DSTU.
The dialogue with investors was held by Dmitry Chernyshov, the Deputy Head of the Rostov-on-Don City Administration for Economic Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Svetlana Abdulazizova, the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov Region, Igor Burakov, the General Director of the Investment Development Agency of Rostov Region, deputy heads of the administration of the city of Rostov-on-Don, heads of the resource-supplying complex, and representatives of the business community.
Svetlana Sinyakova, the Deputy Head of the district, spoke on the formation of investment projects in Kirovsky district. She told the leaders that at the moment, 26 projects for the total amount of RUB 41.8 billion were in the region’s assets; she also proposed to exclude the hotel on 133 Sadovaya Street from the List due to the failure to implement the project. The meeting participants supported the initiative.
Within the framework of the meeting, the issue of the project implementation envisaging the expansion of the central boiler house of the southern capital and, in particular, the increase in the capacity of the first and second power units of TPP-2 was discussed. The chief engineer of LUKOIL-Rostovenergo, LLC Igor Kushel said that the construction and upgrade of the facility had been completed. At the end of December 2016, the facility was added to the fixed assets. It should be noted that this project was also excluded from the list due to the successful implementation.
The project of the Albion hotel that will be located in the city downtown on 114A B. Sadovaya Street was again demonstrated to the participants of the Council. According to Alexander Oginsky, the Director of BS-Prime, LLC, the construction of the building is ahead of schedule. At the moment, the concrete work of the three-story building has been completed, and the brickwork is being carried out. Glazing and heating in this building is planned for April of this year, while finishing works in May. In addition, the internal decoration of the five-story building is in the progress. As for the nine-story building, the fifth floor is now being made. The brickwork will begin in May 2017, and the finishing – in June. It is to be recalled that the facility commissioning is scheduled for November this year, and the first customers will visit the hotel in March 2018.
They also talked about building a residential complex along Beregovaya Street. As it was noted, 57% of all work on the complex has been completed at present.
It is important to add that the investor is planning to build a multi-level parking lot, three tiers of which have already been completed. In addition, the project provides a built-in fitness center and, to date, the installation of a foundation slab under the building is almost completed.
Within the framework of the meeting, the construction of two hotels – the Sail of Fortune and the hotel on 161/28 Tochecova Street, which will operate under the MARTON brand – were discussed.
As the representative of the investor told, the construction of the Sail of Fortune hotel continued. Now the fourth floor of 12, elevator shafts, and panoramic glazing is being is being built. The hotel on Tekucheva Street is at the initial stage of construction.
As a result of the meeting, changes were made to the List of Investment Projects in Rostov-on-Don, which were announced by Svetlana Kambulova.
“Today we put an end to those projects that are not being implemented. But it’s more correct to talk not about those projects that have been excluded, but about those that are being implemented,” Svetlana Kambulova emphasized. “I called the indicators for 2015 and 2016 years. For those two years, we have implemented 20 projects worth almost RUB 25 billion. They were absolutely different investment projects, both industrial and trade projects.
It should be noted that at the moment, the investment portfolio of the Don capital is 107 projects for a total of RUB 287.5 billion.
