A joint meeting of the Council on Entrepreneurship and the Interdepartmental Commission under the Rostov-on-Don City Administration on reducing administrative barriers to the development of entrepreneurship was held at the Fabrika Engineering Center on Thursday, March 30.
The meeting was attended by the Director of the City Economy Department and representatives of the business community under the leadership of Svetlana Abdulazizova, the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov Region and the Deputy Chairman of the Entrepreneurship Council Svetlana Kambulova.
The main topic of the meeting was the development of small industrial enterprises. That is why the Fabrika Engineering Center was chosen as a place for holding it.
Opening the meeting, Svetlana Abdulazizova noted that to date, more than 40% of small and medium-sized enterprises are concentrated in Rostov-on-Don. Moreover, according to the latest statistical data, representatives of the city’s SMEs shoe growth.
Additionally, today, the Don capital has 91 thousand enterprises, of which almost 83 thousand are small and medium-sized businesses, which in turn account for 48% of all enterprises employed in the city’s economy or 44% of the turnover.
The Director of the City Department for Economics said that the development of industrial cooperation had been held since 2015 in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the region.
They also talked about the subcontracting exchange. Svetlana Kambulova stressed that the subcontracts exchange was one of the most effective mechanisms for placing production orders. In addition, the director of the department announced the holding of two similar exchanges this year.
One of the most successful examples of industrial cooperation was the experience of implementing the project “Creating the Production of Steam Generators Based on Induction Technology.”
Thus, New Technologies Company has entered into an agreement on the industrial cooperation with V-Plasma, LLC for the development and arrangement of production of an innovative product – an energy-efficient hybrid steam generator.
The presentation of those developments in the form of an investment project was held at the investment session of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov region, where the project, in addition to improvements in the field of business planning in preparation for the event, also received significant advancement in the respective information field. All this helped to attract the investor company from Moscow region to this project, which came out with the intention to invest in the creation of new types of steam generators.
Since the middle of 2016, several new types of steam generators have been created on the basis of induction technologies with unique characteristics for the market of power equipment.
This product is in demand in the oil and gas sector, as well as paper and food industry.
In early 2017, thanks to the CCI of Rostov region, the enterprise received a production site in the territory of the Agat plant, which meets all technological requirements. These production capabilities will increase output by 10 times.
One of the samples of innovative steam generators is currently at the profile exhibition in Moscow, which allows us to hope for an expansion of the product consumers.
According to the company head Sergey Zolotarev, all the project participants have an ambitious task – create a Rostov steam generator plant.
Summing up the meeting, Svetlana Abdulazizova added that the priority directions in 2017 in cooperation with the City Administration would be high-tech cooperation and support of knowledge-based start-ups among small enterprises of the city.
