Deputy Head of the City Administration for Economics, Dmitriy Chernyshov, paid a visit to JSC “Merinos” to estimate the scale of carpet manufacture in Rostov.
One of the largest factories in Russia began its work in March, 2009. Currently, through the use of advanced equipment, the enterprise can produce up to 5 million sq. m. of products per year, and finished products are successfully sold in the territory of the Russian Federation and in the CIS countries.
As the General Director of JSC “Merinos”, Khalil Isaev told, another successful line of the factory was the production of polypropylene yarns for carpets and rugs. Powerful equipment allows producing up to 750 tons of yarns of various color range per month. And this, in its turn, enables to implement design ideas whichsoever. In addition, polypropylene granules have been developed. And they are successfully sold and are highly competitive with foreign analogues.
Dmitriy Chernyshov got acquainted with the work of the local design bureau, where young specialists work at the creation of creative patterns. He was also demonstrated different stages of products manufacturing. In total, about 400 job positions were created at the factory. Management pays great attention to the social support of employees and their professional training.
Significantly, that all the products of the factory are manufactured in accordance with the specifications, undergone necessary laboratory tests and meet the requirements of fire safety regulations, as well as safety regulations for light industrial products.
Dmitriy Chernyshov noted that the factory was on the rise and was an important enterprise both in the Rostov Region and in Russia then. He wished JSC “Merinos” to continue step up the pace of production and stay among the leaders of Russian carpet manufacture.
