Tele2 invests almost 2 billion rubles in two data centers in Rostov-on-Don

At the international forum Transport of Russia 2020, an agreement was signed on the construction of two data processing centers in Rostov-on-Don. The total investment in this project will exceed 1.9 billion rubles.

Tele2 has already completed the construction of the first data center in Rostov-on-Don and completed the bulk of the work on the creation of the second. The new data centers house equipment for all operator information systems, including billing, VAS and other platforms. Data centers occupy an area with a total area of ​​more than 820 sq. meters and 3 thousand sq. meters. The machine rooms of the centers are designed for 216 stands and 540 stands, using equipment with a capacity of up to 4.995 MW.

«The construction and operation of the Tele2 data center will contribute to the technological development of the region — the digitalization of services and processes, an increase in the availability of telecom services for the population and the creation of an IT infrastructure for a smart city, industry, energy and agriculture," the company said.
