During the meeting of the Board of Administration of the Rostov-on-Don city, Svetlana Kambulova, the director of the City Economy Department, reported on the results of the social and economic development of the Don capital in the first half of 2017 and told about the tasks for the second half of the year.
As follows from the report, in the first half of 2017 in the city there is a positive dynamics in the main types of economic activity and social sphere. The index of industrial production for a full range of enterprises was 112.7%, the turnover of large and medium-sized organizations grew by 4.8% and amounted to 505.9 billion rubles.
- The city government is a significant support for entrepreneurs. In Rostov, over 78,700 small and medium-sized businesses were registered, and 55.6 million rubles were allocated to support small and medium-sized businesses in 2017, the director of the Economics Department emphasized. - The Rostov Center is very popular among Rostov citizens. In the first half of 2017, 6 courses "School of a beginner entrepreneur" were held, where 168 people were trained and 2 thousand consultations were provided.
The average monthly salary grew by 7.8% and amounted to 32.3 thousand rubles. At the same time, the level of registered unemployment was 0.5% of the economically active population, which is much lower than the rate for the Rostov region - 0.9% and the Russian Federation - 1.1%.
Svetlana Kambulova emphasized that all social obligations to the city's population in the first half of 2017 were fulfilled in a timely and full manner, pensions and benefits were paid, and targeted social payments were provided.
In the first half of the year 2017, 29 billion rubles were invested in the city's economy. The formation of the List of Investment Projects of Rostov-on-Don is continuing. As of July 1, 2017, 97 investment projects for a total of 284 billion rubles are under the supervision of the City Administration.
