The construction of a collector on the left bank of the Don is planned to be completed in November

The readiness of the utility systems servicing the facilities of the World Cup 2018 was discussed on Thursday, September 7, by the Government of the Rostov Region. The meeting, which has been held under the chairmanship of Rostov Region Governor, has been attended by Vitalii Kushnarev, the Head of the Rostov-on-Don City Administration.

The meeting has considered the issues of facilities provision involved in holding the World Cup with water supply, water disposal, heat, electricity and gas supply, as well as preparation of municipal facilities of the communal complex.


Before the meeting, the governor during the inspection visit of the engineering infrastructure facilities of the left bank of Rostov and familiarized with the progress of the construction of a sewer collector. Launched last year by the decision of Vasilii Golubev, the construction of more than 11 kilometers of pipeline with 11 pumping stations and more than hundred wells is planned to be completed by the end of November this year. 67 customers have already applied for joining new utility networks, their participation is expected in the construction of supplying sewage networks.

At the meeting, the head of the region drew attention to the fact that the main task is to further prevent any new buildings without their own sewage on the left bank.

An important role in the development of the left-bank part of the city of Rostov will also be played by the "Sportivnaya" electric substation, which will provide electricity to the left-bank facilities related to the championship. The substation is designed for the future. Its capacity is 80 MegaVoltAmper, which covers the needs of the Rostov-Arena stadium almost six times. The substation was put into operation in August. More than 1 billion rubles were spent on these construction works.
