On the eve of the celebration of the 268th anniversary of the city of Rostov-on-Don, 15 delegations from the partner and twin cities arrived to Rostov-on-Don.
The guests’ program is busy. Moving around the city, the delegates were able to assess the level of preparation for the 2018 World Cup and, in general, external changes in the appearance of the Don capital.
One of the mandatory items of the program was the visit to the Rostov-Arena. The head of Rostov-on-Don Administration Vitaly Kushnaryov inspected the progress of the stadium construction together with the delegations.
Guests were able to personally assess the scale of the construction and the unique architectural design. Many people were impressed by the football lawn.
At present, the reinforced concrete work, the installation of steel roof structures, the membrane coating of the roof, and the installation of external engineering networks (electricity, sewerage, water supply, heat supply, and low-voltage networks) are fully completed at the construction site of the future stadium.
Landscaping is also under way. As part of the surrounding area improvement, the installation of small architectural forms (benches, flagpoles, etc.), the installation of asphalt and concrete pavement, flagstone, as well as the installation of road plates is being conducted currently.
It is to be recalled that today, the overall building readiness of the Rostov-Arena is 85%. The final deadline is December 25, 2017. The work is carried out ahead of schedule; the first matches at the stadium are scheduled for November this year.
Upon completion of all the works the city will have a new stadium with a total capacity of 45 thousand seats. Rostov Arena should become a home field for FC Rostov.
