On November 8, 2017 a meeting of the regional organizing committee for preparation for the 2018 World Cup was held under the chairmanship of the governor of Rostov region Vasilii Golubev. Vitalii Kushnarev, the head of Rostov-on-Don City Administration, also took part in this event.
During the meeting of the regional organizing committee for preparation for the World Cup 2018, the head of the region has said that the traffic on the southern entrance to Rostov will be opened on November 18. The road traffic will be opened on a new floodplain bridge and one exit bridge. The second entrance transport bridge will be launched by the end of this year. The entire stage of the reconstruction will be completed in May of the next year. The total cost of the reconstruction of this site is 2.9 billion Russian rubles.
As a result of this large-scale construction in Rostov region, a two-level solution of such complexity will be built for the first time. The works are carried out ahead of the schedule, - said Vasilii Golubev.
Also, the meeting has discussed the development of the communications infrastructure for the World Cup 2018. A new cellular infrastructure capable of sustaining a significant increase in the number of users will emerge on the Rostov-Arena. All four cellular operators will provide voice and high-speed Internet access services.
Free Wi-Fi access to the Internet will be organized during the holding of games at the stadium.
Free Internet access can be available in the territory adjacent to the stadium and during the tourist walks along Rostov-on-Don.
