In the Don capital, the Center for Entrepreneurship Support "New Rostov" hosted the final conference of the first business accelerator of the city of Rostov-on-Don. The event was commissioned by the Department of Economics of the city of Rostov-on-Don by the Analytical Center Expert South.
The business accelerator is a comprehensive six-month program for small and medium-sized businesses, in which participants get the opportunity to lay the foundation for the growth of their business.
The purpose of the training program is to help the growth and development of business projects.
At the conference, participants in the business accelerator for small and medium-sized businesses in Rostov presented their development strategies to the business community. Strategies were prepared during the acceleration program and as a result of working with mentors.
Svetlana Kambulova, Deputy Head of the Rostov-on-Don Administration for Economics, made a welcoming speech, and noted that the idea of the need for a new form of business accelerator to expand support technologies for small and medium-sized businesses in our city was voiced a year ago.
In 2019, the City Administration launched three new projects - an innovative business accelerator, a digitalization center and a business accelerator; the conference summed up the implementation of the latter.
“I want to express my gratitude to each of the participants, to each mentor who shared the experience with his mentors,” said Svetlana Kambulova, “I would very much like to receive feedback from those present to understand how to transform the project and what activities to complement. I hope that we will continue to implement the projects launched this year, that the business accelerator has proved useful. I would like to wish the obtained results of work to contribute to the further development of the business and the expansion of the client base.
During the event, the conference participants - heads of many Rostov enterprises - not only presented strategies for the further development of their business projects, but also told how their companies began, what tools to break through on the market and what key factors they use for enterprise growth.
At the end of the conference, an informal discussion took place, during which all participants and mentors of the program shared their views on the benefits of the accelerator and expressed their suggestions for improving it.
