On October 7, the NTI Discussion platform "Innovative technologies for solving business problems" was held at the Boiling Point of the Don State Technical University. The event was organized by the Rostov Region Innovation Agency with the support of the Rostov-on-Don City Administration.
More than fifty innovators and business representatives took part in the Discussion platform. The participants also included representatives of the state authorities of the Rostov region, representatives of the business and innovation support infrastructure of the Rostov region, managers and employees of small, medium and large enterprises implementing or interested in implementing innovative projects and STI projects.
Roman Shekhovtsov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Rostov Region, opened the discussion platform, welcoming the participants of the event on behalf of the Ministry.
"New markets, NTI markets are the areas where you need to pay attention and direct resources, it is in these market niches that you need to form your life and commercial plans in the short and medium term," Roman Shekhovtsov said.
"We are waiting for expert opinion and recommendations from today's event for the formation of support measures that business needs now," Yulia Altunova, Acting Director of the Department of Economics of Rostov-on-Don, said, wishing the participants of the discussion fruitful work.
"The innovative development of the region is growing, including due to the scientific potential, which is formed by the leading universities of the region. Universities are now constantly in search of innovative solutions that will allow them to synchronize and align their goals with the development goals of the region," said Innessa Efremenko, Vice-Rector for Advanced Programs and Sustainable Development of DSTU.
Then the participants of the event met at a round table to discuss business support programs in the NTI. During the discussion, representatives of the company LLC "Gint" (winner of the competition "Development-NTI") and the winner of the competition "Umnik-NTI Helsnet" Igor Popov shared their own experience in the implementation of NTI projects and answered topical questions from the guests of the site.
The project session "Priority directions of innovation development in Rostov-on-Don and the Rostov region" was also held within the framework of the platform. The participants identified and considered the main challenges and tasks that need to be solved to increase the level of innovative development of the Rostov region, and also assessed the possibilities of using NTI services to achieve their goals.
"Today's event was an excellent opportunity for representatives of innovative business support bodies to discuss with the authors of innovative projects and heads of companies the current problems in the implementation of STI projects, to get first-hand information about what improvements are needed for the existing innovation support infrastructure," said Marina Moskinova, Deputy Director General of the Innovation Agency of the Rostov Region.
The results of the discussion platform will be included in the Innovative Passport of the city of Rostov-on-Don 2020. Updating of the Innovation Passport in 2020 is carried out by the Innovation Agency of the Rostov Region by order of the Department of Economics of Rostov-on-Don.
